Designed for down: The FOCUS SAM² 6.7 is the most aggressive e-MTB in the FOCUS line-up. A modern, downhill-oriented geometry, 180/170 mm travel and fast 29“ wheels – the SAM² is ready to shred. The Bosch Performance CX e-drive with a 625 Wh battery makes sure uphill is fun as well
The downhill-oriented focus is enhanced by suspension forks with 38 mm stanchions as standard spec. Furthermore, the e-Enduro is compatible with a coil shock. The fully integrated C.I.S. cable routing ensures a clean cockpit.

Highlights
Super powerful and dynamic Bosch Performance Line CX e-drive
Thanks to the efficient Bosch Performance Line CX system, you can ride more trails in the same time. The powerful e-drive with a torque of up to 85 Nm makes sure uphill with the FOCUS SAM² 6.7 is fun as well. Even though the motor has got your back on climbs, you can still easily control your full-suspension bike, also in toughest conditions. The slide-out battery with 625 Wh can be charged via the integrated charging port at the bike’s seat tube. Alternatively, you can also remove the battery easily and fast. There is no need for any tools. Just unlock the buckle and open the cover to slide out the battery.
Bike design for optimal performance in any situation
Thanks to the long wheelbase and slack head angle, the FOCUS SAM² 6.7 rides super stable even at high speed in roughest terrain. It has a perfect stiffness-to-weight ratio because the slide-out battery only requires a minimal cut-out in the down tube. Further, the battery is placed as low as possible into the down tube. This frame design improves the bike’s centre of gravity and makes this e-MTB more stable on descents. The low stand-over height gives you generous space for moving and enables you to handle your bike perfectly in technical terrain. By turning the headset cups, you can easily change the head angle of your FOCUS SAM² 6.7 according to your riding preferences from 64.5° to 63.5°.
Made for the roughest trails
The kinematics of our FOCUS SAM² 6.7 is made for the roughest rides. Our upgraded F.O.L.D. (FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design) is the core component of this bike and optimised for its purpose. It allows the integrated and easily adjustable air shock to work best. With 180/170 mm travel, a suspension fork with 38 mm stanchions and fast 29″ wheels, the FOCUS SAM² 6.7 is ready to shred. You can always rely on strong Sram brakes with large 220 mm rotors that are easy to maintenance.
Technologies
FOCUS OPTIMIZED LINKAGE DESIGN F.O.L.D.
F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design, and offers the ultimate in rear suspension. The patented F.O.L.D. kinematics make it possible to optimise the rear triangle for an extremely wide range of different requirements: F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive while being progressive enough to prevent a harsh bottom out. Focus has updated F.O.L.D. for the model year 2020. The chainstay is now more rigid, without forgoing the proven advantages of F.O.L.D.. How does that work? The guidelink now moves in the mainlink and it now consists of two components, screwed together. It is more rigid, because the forces exerted are now channelled directly through the link and no longer via the bridge. The integration of the guidelink also means that the linkage is more streamlined. The damper is now on the head, guaranteeing perfect kinematics and low weight with the new design.
COCKPIT INTEGRATION SOLUTION C.I.S.
C.I.S. stands for Cockpit Integration Solution and summarizes all internal cable routing on the cockpits of our road, gravel and mountain bikes. Focus has developed several C.I.S. stems specifically to the needs of the bike category, f.e. an aero stem for the IZALCO MAX or a super short stem for our mountain bikes. They all have in common that they route all cables through stem and headset into the frame while still providing perfect functionality for both electronic and mechanical shifting. As a result, your cockpit looks super clean and the cables are protected internally.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting persistent disturbances in global supply chains, the illustrations and equipment information may differ from the actual bicycles.
